Artist In Residence: Graham Smith-White + Sunbus

Graham Smith-White is an eco-musician based in Washington D.C. His work combines music, sustainable practices and community organizing. His primary practice, The Sunrise Review, utilizes solar powered recording equipment to use wilderness as a recording studio and musical inspiration. Graham brings Sunbus, a 4WD van mounted with solar panels to Swale to engage soil scientists with serenades and learning opportunities for bringing the art/science connection to addressing environmental justice issues in Appalachia.

As a Project: Soils artist, Graham is bringing SunBus to Swale to meet with USI soil scientists and other climate change activists to see how SunBus can be a tool of education and resistance, aiding their efforts.

Stop by Swale House at 15 Nolan Park to see SunBus, chat with Graham (and Bob!) and see how you can help.
